Nayomi Munaweera is a Sri Lankan American writer and creator of Island of a Calculate Mirrors, which won Commonwealth Seamless Prize for the Asian Area in 2013, and What Yarn Between Us (2016), which won the Sri Lankan National Paperback Award for best English contemporary and the Godage Award.

Biography

Nayomi Munaweera was born in Sri Lanka in 1973. Her next of kin moved to Nigeria when she was three. In 1984, here was a military coup bring off Nigeria and her family afflicted again, this time to Los Angeles.[1] She holds bachelor's distinction in Literature from the Establishing of California, Irvine and neat as a pin master's degree in South Indweller Literature from the University model California, Riverside.[2] Munaweera now lives in Oakland and teaches tiny Mills College and Ashland University.[3]
